BaseballBiz RaysUp Halloween edition 5 stages of grief - Cash, Snell, Arozarena

| Denial | There is no way this Rays team can lose. This is the best team we have had. Their offense will come around. Snell is pitching at his career best in this game. He is mixing it up in a way that bewilders the Dodgers.  That can't really be Cash walking to the mound.  Switching to Anderson? Really!

 | Anger | How can these guys not hit the ball?    Why is Randy Arozarena the only guy that can hit. Can Chad Mottola wake these guys up? Is there a Kirk Gibson in a Rays uniform hiding in the dugout tunnel. Have you given up yet?

 | Bargaining  | Please, Please, Please tell Cash not to pull Snell. And I promise to watch less Netflix and always wear my mask  over my nose and mouth in the store. I promise to donate to the Boys and Girls clubs and Mental Health organizations everywhere. Just please let my Rays hit and win this game.

 | Depression | Once Cash pulled Snell he tore at the heartstrings of every Rays fan. The Dodger's dugout showed elation at his action and the positive flow from the Rays quickly ebbed away.  Can I go to bed now.  I cannot watch a single post game show for fear that it will reignite my rage with a team that I love. I think I will sleep in for a day or two. SportsCenter doesn't really cover that much baseball

 | Acceptance | A day has passed and time to let go of a season that has passed.  Baseball has been more important to me this year than ever. There will be another #Rays team again next year.

 | Whaddaya goin to do about it? | Not sure who may or not be on the roster next year but I am certain there will have to be some stronger bats and perhaps a bit more flexibility with the analytics. Is there a way to factor in momentum, spirit and strength of the moment into analytics. There is a necessity for wisdom that supersedes pure analytics. A wisdom to see beyond the numbers and measure the emotional strength and character of a player and a team that may bend time and space a bit
 |   |
 | Victory over the process | The Rays certainly went further than most would have thought. They faced a team that was overall superior at the plate. They won the ALCS and gave an overall good showing at the WorldSeries. Great stories, plays and players in this postseason including KK, Margot, Phillips and Arozarena. Snell's pitching was exceptional and the bullpen showed a lot of strong stuff with some names we had not heard much of before..
